Luke Turner travels to the AV Festival in Newcastle and sees Test Dept make a powerful, moving statement about the end of the coal industry and Miners' Strike with a gigantic installation at Dunston Staithes on the River Tyne.

Test Dept returns with a world premiere for the closing weekend of the AV Festival in Newcastle, four nights of Thu 27 March – Sun 30 March 2014.

Viewed from boats on the River Tyne over three nights, the event marks the 30th anniversary of the Miners’ Strike.

Join us on Saturday 8 March for a day of celebration and inspiration, to mark the 30th Anniversary of this iconic event at the Rich Mix in London.
